Recently, we were contacted by a client who had purchased a century-old home with a pool in extreme disrepair. The client aimed to renovate the pool to align with the era of the home.

After extensive discussions, we decided to fill in the existing pool and create a new pool area on the other side of the property, closer to the main living space. The goal was to establish a year-round destination area for the family, ensuring the new pool and surrounding area adhered to the early 20th-century architecture of the original home.

Every detail of the construction was meticulously planned to match the historical integrity of the home. This included selecting stone types, sizes, colors, and veins, as well as matching pointing styles and brick patterns. The pool house was designed to mimic the slate roof, brick accents, and stone pillars of the 100-year-old home.

The finished product is a masterpiece. The pool features a spectacular 54-foot negative edge, offering a breathtaking view of the meadow below. The landscape designer praised the seamless transition from the 100-year-old home to the newly installed pool and surrounding area. The result is an extraordinary destination area that the family can enjoy, perfectly blending historical architecture with modern functionality.
